Location:- Come
and share our secret ... Set in the heart of a nature conservancy
on the banks of the Albasini dam overlooking the Soutpansberg
mountains, you will discover Shiluvari Lodge. Nestling amongst
centuries old Wild Fig trees with sweeping views of the Soutpansberg
mountains, Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge is the ideal base to explore
the diverse natural and cultural heritage of the "Land of
Legend." Once the old farmhouse, the main Lodge now boasts
an intimate country restaurant and lounge area, complete with
a fireplace and stunning views of the surrounds. Enjoy the sumptuous
cuisine with it’s Afro-fusion style which incorporates both the
best of local and European tastes. The tastefully decorated thatched
chalets are each decorated with a different theme – all of which
incorporates elements from the local artists. Choose from the
Dragonfly, Bug or African room – each one has its own charm. Each
chalet is tucked away from the other offering you secluded
and intimate privacy, with your own view of the lake. Shiluvari
Lakeside Lodge is set in 30 hectares of natural vegetation and
offers you the opportunity to walk through the estate where you
may see some of the game species that frequent the area. Waterbuck,
Kudu, Bushbuck and Duiker are often seen grazing and browsing
in the lodge grounds. Enjoy a sundowner cruise on the "Savannah"
on the Levubu river and enjoy a cocktail whilst seeing the sun
go down and listening to the call of the Fiery necked nightjar
as evening falls.
