Accommodation:- The Main Camp
houses the Reception, Curio shop, cozy Ladies Bar. Conference
facilities are available as well as a 480-seater auditorium. The
auditorium is often used for game auctions together with the adjacent
game pens, the pens have been reckoned as one of the biggest and
best designed in South Africa.
Situated in the gardens of the Main Camp, the
three Chalets provide 'home from home' accomodation for those
guests a bit nervous to stay too far from civilization, but wanting
to relax in beautiful surroundings. Each Chalet has three bedrooms,
either one or two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dining area
and lounge. a Private boma with braai facilities to ensure the
best of Jobedi atmosphere. All the units are serviced daily.
Five thatched rock structured Cottages spaciously
seperated in the thick bushes around the swimming pool at the
Main Camp. Each Cottage accommodates two guests with en-suite
bathroom and shower, bar fridge and kettle and basic kitchen equipment.
Guests can enjoy their own braai in the boma adjoining the Cottage.
All the units are services daily.
There are also the Bush Cottages:
Bushpig cottage a thatch, double-storey cottage 11km from the
Main Lodge. Two bedrooms, bathroom and fully equiped kitchen on
the ground floor and one large room upstairs with single bunks.
For real Africa feeling try our outside shower and toilets.
Impala cottage, is a quaint cockeyed thatched house is situated
at a waterhole near one of the riverstreams leading to our beautiful
swimming hole. It has three bedrooms, bathroom with bath, fully
equipped kitchen and a screened verandah overlooking a waterhole.
Impala Guesthouse is a relaxing place. Cook around the fire while
enjoying the outdoors.
The Village, is three cottages, 9km from the Main Lodge overlooking
a waterhole, provide an excellent venue for groups or families
wishing to be together but still having privacy when bedtime comes.
The cottages are named after trees of the area:Wild Fig,Wild Syringa
and Vaalbos. Two cottages have two bedrooms and a double sleeper
bunk in the lounge, bathroom with shower and fully equipped kitchen.
Each unit also boast its own boma and braai facility.
Activities:- Jobedi Game Lodge
offers early morning and late afternoon game drives. Guests staying
at the Main Camp or Bush Cottages are allowed to do their own
self-drive Game Drives on the Main Roads only. Mountain bikes
are available for hire from the main camp. Jobedi has short hiking
trails near most of the bush cottages for you to do on your own.
There is also a three-day-two-night route with overnight huts.
Wildlife:- The 75 mammal species
include rhino, Giraffe, Zebra, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu,
Eland, Blesbok, Impala and Red Hartebeest. African python and
the Nile crocodile are also resident, and it is a birdwatchers’
paradise with more than 300 bird species.
Access:- The Waterberg Mountain area is part
of the Bushveld district of the Limpopo Province, a two and a
half hour drive north from Johannesburg on the N1.
Child Policy:- Children under 12 years at half
rate and under 3years free. The Bush Cottages are prefect for
family groups.
Power supply:- There is 24 hour
electricity to all rooms.
